A few summers ago I read a series of books written by Doña María Aline Griffith Dexter, Countess of Romanones. The first book in the series is The Spy Wore Red, it’s the true story (with names and some details changed to protect the innocent, of course) of the authoress’ time as an American spy in Spain during WWII. If you are looking for a quick and exciting read I recommend these!
The picture below shows the Countess of Romanoes with Jackie Kennedy at a bullfight when Jackie came on a visit to Spain. (The Countess is the one just to the right of Jackie.) The books mention more than a few famous figures that pass through the Countess’s social circle.

I feel like people should bring that gigantic headdress style back.

These are actually traditional Spanish mantillas and combs. Spanish ladies do still wear these headpieces for special occasions and events! I’ve seen it, so cool!

My brother suggested I would possibly like this website. He was entirely right. This post truly made my day. You can not consider just how a lot time I had spent for this information! Thanks!
