I love going to the National Gallery of Art and staring at this picture by Antonie Vollon. It is called Motte de Beurre, or Mound of Butter in plain English. It’s so French. Someday I’ll have a print of this framed and hang it in my kitchen or dinning room.

There is just something about the rich yellow, and the hugeness of that mound of butter. I love it!
