I started reading The Hunger Games. It’s not something I would typically read, I don’t often read contemporary pop fiction, but I have to admit I can’t put it down. But then again, I couldn’t put down The Da Vinci Code either, and I hated that book (Dan Brown needs to take a history class and a grammar course), so the page turning has nothing to do with how much I like the content. However, so far I do appreciate that these are plain humans – not humans falling in love with vampires and werewolves falling in love with humans. Why anyone would marry the undead is beyond me.
I feel a little foolish however, I didn’t realize what a huge following this series had. I am now starting to understand the plethora of bird and arrow bracelets on Etsy.

Don’t worry, I didn’t realize how big The Hunger Games was until a couple years behind the rest of the world….late to the party as usual. But I am so glad I bought a copy of it from Amazon one day late last year. 🙂
